Bobcat

Bobcats are medium-sized wild cats found across most of North America, from southern Canada to central Mexico, at home in habitats from forest and swamp to desert scrub. A short, "bobbed" tail, tufted, pointed ears, and a ruff of longer fur framing the face make them easy to recognize, and they run roughly twice the size of a house cat. Adaptable and largely solitary hunters, bobcats prey mainly on rabbits and rodents but can take down something as large as a deer when the opportunity arises, and they den in rock crevices, hollow logs, or dense brush.
