About Gemsbok Oryx
Gemsbok are large, straight-horned antelope native to the arid regions of southern Africa, and exceptionally well built for heat and drought — they can go long stretches without drinking water by simply tolerating a higher body temperature than most mammals would risk. Introduced populations exist on ranches and reserves outside Africa.
