State Park
Silver Lake State Park
- Limited Draw Hunt

About this property
54,000 acres of canyon, limestone and live-oak-and-juniper hills on the West Nueces, twenty miles north-east of Brackettville — the second-largest state park in Texas, and not yet open as one. The Moody Foundation gave TPWD most of the old Silver Lake Ranch in 2026 and the state bought the rest. River, springs, deer, turkey and javelina, and no public access before the first hunts.

These are drawn hunts. You must apply in advance and be selected — you cannot simply turn up. Being drawn is not guaranteed, and a permit for one hunt does not admit you to another. Each block below is one hunt — one application covers every animal listed in it. Apply through Texas Parks & Wildlife.
