About this property

1,200 acres of resacas — old Rio Grande channels the river left behind — on the north-west edge of Brownsville, with thornscrub, ebony-and-anacua woods, hackberry bottoms and wetland between them. It opened in 2008 as the biggest of the World Birding Center's nine stops, and more than 250 bird species have been logged where two flyways cross near the border.
