About this property
Three scattered pieces of Panhandle plains, not one block: Taylor Lakes near Clarendon in Donley County, and the Dimmitt and Armstrong units in Castro County. Each is a playa — a shallow basin that holds rain — ringed by grassland and farmland put back to native grass. TPWD bought them in 1990 and 1993 for the ducks and shorebirds that winter on the water.
