5,727 acres of bottomland hardwood lying between the Sabine River and its old abandoned channel, northeast of Lindale in Smith County. Big stands of oak, elm and ash carry the canopy over a thick and varied understory.

Except when ENTIRE AREA CLOSED: Oct. 31-Nov. 1, Nov. 7-9 and Dec. 4-9. LEGAL BUCK must have at least one unbranched antler or an inside spread of at least 13 inches. All deer taken on the WMA must be registered at the on-site Registration Station within 48 hours. Night hunting is prohibited except while pursuing bullfrogs and raccoons during specified seasons; dogs prohibited for feral hogs, coyotes, and white-tailed deer.
