About this property

2,087 acres of mixed pine and hardwood set inside Sam Houston National Forest, about as far west as the southern pine belt reaches. Loblolly and red oak hold the uplands, water oak and sweetgum the stream bottoms, and alligators live in Lake Raven at the centre of the park.

Regular (daily) Permit only. Shooting hours are one half hour before sunrise until noon. Use of dogs prohibited. A Regular Permit (available at the area) is required to participate; the $20 Regular Permit fee is waived for persons possessing an APH Permit, and all fees are waived for minors accompanied by a permitted authorized supervising adult. Limited hunting spots available; hunters will be admitted on a first come, first served basis.
