Copper Breaks SP

1,899 acres of mesquite-covered mesa broken by juniper draws on the seasonal Pease River, between Quanah and Crowell. Green streaks of raw copper band the rust-red walls of the small canyons, which is where the park gets its name, and part of the state longhorn herd runs the south pasture.
