About this property
4,253 acres of bottomland hardwood in the Trinity River floodplain southwest of Palestine, on poorly drained black clay locals call gumbo mud. It sits under shallow slow-moving floodwater anywhere from five to sixty days a year, and Big Lake itself left the area in 2009.
