Public Hunting Program (Leased Private Land)
Goat Barn
- Annual Public Hunting Permit
About this property
East of Spearman where county road 1 meets county road R, three hundred and twenty acres with a large pond on the north-east corner. It shares a sheet with Betty.
The Canadian River units carry among the longest quarry lists in the program — dove through to sandhill crane and Panhandle pheasant, with woodcock, snipe, rail, gallinule and moorhen on their statewide seasons. There is also a wildlife viewing season: the day after Western Zone goose closes the unit reopens for watching rather than shooting, and runs to the end of August.
